Recipe: Rosemary Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup warm Water
  • 2 ½ cup Bread Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 TBSP Olive Oil
  • ¼ tsp Italian Seasoning
  • ¼ tsp ground Black Pepper
  • 1 TBSP dried Rosemary

Directions:

  • Combine yeast and ½ cup warm water. Let sit for 10 minutes while yeast blooms.
  • Add Flour, Sugar, Salt and Oil. Mix with dough hook and add enough of the remaining ½ cup water until the dough cleans the side of the bowl.  (you may need more or less water depending on the humidity).
  • Knead until dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Add Italian Seasoning, Black Pepper, and Rosemary. Continue kneading until combined.
  • Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down and let rise another hour.
  • Shape into loaf (your choice) and bake at 375 degrees until browned.
  • Remove from oven, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  • Serve with olive oil and fresh cracked pepper.
