Hi there! My name is Juliana Lex, and I'm from northern Chicago. As the youngest of four kids spread throughout the United States, my siblings are some of my best friends. Currently, I live in Utah, pursuing a degree in Experience Design and Management at Brigham Young University. I love nature and the outdoors, and I'm thrilled to be surrounded by such amazing mountains. I've been working with others for as long as I can remember, starting with babysitting as a teenager and moving on to roles as a receptionist and teacher. These experiences have taught me how to really enjoy the people around me. In high school, I swam and played water polo, learning the value of grit and perseverance. Helping to build homes and school walkways in Cambodia sparked my passion for understanding. I believe that we all share commonalities regardless of our backgrounds.
Recently, I returned from an 18-month full-time mission for my church, where I learned to speak passionately about my beliefs, interact with people from diverse cultures, and even picked up the German language. It was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. My drive comes from a constant desire to use my talents and strengths to help those around me. As a people person, making others feel important is crucial to me. I am passionate about being kind and always seeking ways to serve others, whether they are friends or strangers. Exploring different cultures and perspectives has blessed me with the opportunity to see the goodness and kindness present everywhere. My goals include graduating from college, continuing my education or advancing in my career, and one day having a family of my own to learn from and teach. I strive to make the most of every day and continually learn from my experiences.
